Who we are
Hello, we are Carolina and Romain 😊
We are a French-Colombian couple who want to share our love of Colombia.
Colombia turns out to be a complete destination just waiting to be discovered: wildlife, traditional villages, diverse culture. Let us guide you!
Visit my Colombia
The idea of creating a travel blog about Colombia came after several trips to the country. Some people regularly ask us questions, intrigued by this little-known destination. Others come up with clichés about Colombia. This blog is therefore a good way of sharing our knowledge of this South American country, and surprising many people who didn’t imagine Colombia in any other way than the image conveyed by the media.
- Tourism: Colombia has become an increasingly popular tourist destination in recent years. Prepare for your trip with our tips on places to visit, things to do, accommodation and more.
- Cultural discovery: Colombia is a country rich in culture, history and traditions. Learn more with us about Colombian culture, festivals, gastronomy, art, music and the country’s unique customs.

ELLE – Carolina
I’m proud to be Colombian, to have been born and raised in this magical country, which never ceases to amaze me with its extraordinary natural biodiversity. For me, it’s a privilege to admire its majestic mountain ranges, to feel drawn to its wild coasts, or to feel like the smallest being in the universe in the immensity of the Amazon jungle.
Through this travel blog, Romain and I go beyond the negative clichés of war, drug trafficking and violence that reduce the critical view of the foreigner, to make room for what really matters, such as the biodiversity that Colombia possesses and which, in the end, is what represents life itself, in every flutter of its birds’ wings, and in the hearts of all the beings that make up Colombia.
Originally working in the communications sector, I ditched everything in October 2018 to go on a 9-month adventure. Heading for Latin America. And it just so happened that Colombia was on my itinerary, and by chance I met Carolina there!
Since then, we’ve made several trips to Colombia, and we return every year to discover new facets of this beautiful country, which I simply adore. For me, creating this travel blog Ma Colombie is a great way of sharing this love, and of changing the way Westerners look at Colombia.

I travel because it makes me realize how much I haven't seen, how much I'm not going to see and how much I still need to see.
