Our opinion

When we tested this card on our travels, two strong points immediately stood out. Firstly, its speed is impressive: transfers take place without long waits and 4K videos are stored without jerking, which is invaluable when filming sunsets or waterfalls. We also appreciated its sturdiness: it withstands the to-and-fro between bags, cameras and phones without flinching, which is reassuring when you’re away from home. On the other hand, we noticed that at full capacity, some speeds could be slightly below the advertised figures, depending on the device or drive used – which doesn’t hinder everyday use, but may surprise the most demanding. Finally, it’s no surprise that the price remains high compared with basic boards, but for us, the performance/reliability trade-off was well worth it. All in all, it’s a solid choice if you want memories that are well stored and quickly accessible at every stage of your trip.
