Our opinion
When we’re on the move, this type of USB-C 8-in-2 hub has become an extremely useful gadget for staying productive and connecting all our gear without hassle. Whether it’s transferring photos from an SD card after a hike, plugging in a mouse and keyboard at a hotel or coworking kiosk, or simply charging a second device via USB-C, it has often saved us the trouble of searching for several different adapters. We liked its ease of use in plug-and-play mode: in just a few seconds, everything is ready to go. On the downside, the speeds of USB-A 2.0 ports are limited compared to the faster 3.0 ports, which can slow down some large file transfers. Sometimes you’d also like an integrated HDMI or Ethernet port – but for travelers who want to combine lightness and versatility without weighing themselves down, this hub remains a small, reliable and practical solution in the pocket or backpack, ready to connect almost anything you need to take with you.
